Solving heating problems and damp & mould in a single stroke

Damp and mould tend to form in homes which are hard to heat – ones with poor insulation, ineffective heating systems or inadequate ventilation. NexGen is ideally suited to solve both the heating problem and the damp/mould problem in these properties.
Removing damp and mould in less than a week
In addition to infrared’s core heating role in the NexGen system, the very nature of infrared means that it is ideal for treating damp and mould.
When any NexGen product is switched on, the far infrared energy it produces is absorbed by the fabric of a room (walls, furniture, carpets etc), so these surfaces warm up significantly. This warmth evaporates any embedded moisture in the walls and mobilises it into the air. The moisture can then be easily removed from the air using standard ventilation systems or dehumidifiers, and the mould cleaned away.
Ensuring that damp & mould don’t return
Once the damp and mould have been removed, the ongoing operation of the NexGen systems ensure that they won’t come back. The infrared will continue to warm the fabric of the room, and neither the damp nor the mould will be able to form.
Even if the property is left vacant for an extended period, NexGen’s temperature and humidity sensors monitor the in-room conditions for damp and mould formation on an ongoing basis. Should such cool and damp conditions approach, NexGen is automatically activated for a heating cycle, preventing the damp from returning.

I wanted to take a moment to feedback on my recent installation. My new heating system was completed at the end of February 2024.
I am exceptionally pleased; the heating system Nexgen provided has changed my life, my health, my comfort.
Living with sever[e] Asthma, I have multiple triggers; one of which is damp leading to the dreaded black mould.
I have lived in this property with my son for 10 years, moving from a gas central heated home. I found sadly within a few month of moving in, the lack of central heating had already reared, showing in visible mould spores, on all ceilings, window sills/frames, even on clothes in my sons room.

In 2024, NexGen was installed in a tenement flat in Glasgow which had been subject to extreme damp and mould (35% moisture saturation in the walls). Despite this, the property had been occupied until a few days before the installation. All rooms experienced a minimum of 3-4 air changes per hour. The kitchen had acute damp and mould on walls and floors, the sitting room had single-glazed windows and embedded damp. The bathroom had 100% mould coverage.
